MVAA In-House Soccer:
U6 and U8 Only. Academy format with one practice each week and one game each Saturday against other Middletown participants at the Middletown Middle School.
Frederick County Youth Soccer League (FCYSL):
Practices twice each week with games on the weekends against other teams within Frederick County.
Club/Travel - BBSL or MSI leagues::
Highly competitive level of play. Players tryout for roster slots on Club/Travel teams. Playing time in games is Not guaranteed, but players that regularly attend practice and demonstrate maximum effort will most likely get game time in each match.
Baltimore Beltway Soccer League (BBSL):
Highly competitive level of play. Teams practice 2 or more times per week, with some Home games in Middletown and Away games in the Baltimore Metro region and other areas of Maryland such as: Harford County, Southern MD, Annapolis, Delaware, Anne Arundel County etc. Teams play in out of area competitive weekend tournaments. Most matches in the Fall are played on Saturday's for the U14 and under age groups (U15 and above are on Sunday's). Most matches in the Spring are played on Sunday's.
Montgomery Soccer Inc. (MSI):
Highly competitive level of play. Teams practice 2 or more times per week, with all games Away, but many are played in the Germantown, MD area and at the Soccerplex. Teams play in out of area competitive weekend tournaments. The majority of matches are normally on Saturdays with some potentially on Sunday's.

Academy format with one practice each week and one game each Saturday against other Middletown participants at the Middletown Middle School.
Spring 2012 season - Saturday mornings at the Middletown Middle School are a-buzz with our youngest soccer age groups enjoying small-sided soccer matches. The Under 6 age group will be playing 3 v 3 and the Under 8 age group will be playing 4 v 4. As players arrive, they will be directed to a field and play will begin. Optional, but encouraged, weeknight practice sessions will continue for each age group this season. Coaches will guide these sessions full of activities focusing on individual ball handling skills.

- MVAA's U6 and U8 In-House Players celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up their soccer fields! After playing their games on Saturday 4/24, Coach Dave talked with the players about ways they can each help their environment. Afterwards, they all worked together to clean up trash from the soccer fields.

- VOLUNTEER SUPPORT POSITIONS
The success of our program has always been a direct result of volunteer participation in several important areas:
Fields Maintenance - a crew of four to paint field lines; general members assist with game day field set-up and take-down.
Uniform Distribution - two or three members from each age group to distribute jerseys at week 1 practice and game day.
Equipment Preparation - two or three members to check goals and balls for servicability.
Coaching - a crew of four or five members from each age group to facilitate games during practices; weekly lesson plans are distributed at the pre-season coaching clinic.
