Message from the Wrestling Director

Wrestling is a sport in which dedication and desire typically pays off. Unlike most other sports, size is not that important of a factor in determining wrestling matches. Wrestling is about building character, self confidence, and self satisfaction with one’s achievements.   • MVAA Wrestling is folk style (collegiate/high school) type wrestling, not freestyle (Olympic style) wrestling.
  • Wrestling runs from: November 1, 2011 until March 15, 2012
  • 2011-2012 Practice Schedule - click HERE
  • Matches are held: On weekends in January & February.
  • What to bring:  A hooded jacket or skull cap, sweat pants, shorts, tee shirt, wrestling shoes/ socks. Headgear is recommended.
  • Age requirement: Ages 5-14.
