Registration Policy

To be eligible to participate in any MVAA sport you must first become an MVAA Family Member. The Family Membership fee is an annual fee of $100.00 beginning during our January sign ups. The family membership is good for a calendar year of January - December. Each Family is required to pay an annual Family Membership fee of $100 due with the first sports registration in the calendar year.

Sports fees vary and are based upon league fees, insurance, referee/umpire, uniforms, etc. Members must be current and in good financial standing in order for players to participate in sports.

Late Fees

Late registrations are not guaranteed team placement. Our teams fill up quickly, so please register on time.

A registration is considered late after "last date to register". All late registrations require a $25.00 late fee. Registration is not complete until full payment is received. Late fees will not be refunded.

Refund Policy

Partial refund of sports fees will be available only if the all of the following have been met:

  1. Refund request is made within 3 weeks after the regular registration has ended (prior to late fees).
  2. No uniform or equipment has been ordered for that sport.
  3. Sport director is able to fill slot on team roster(s).

Refunds will be subject to a $10 administrative fee. (As voted by the MVAA Board of Directors at the December 3rd, 2015 Board Meeting). Late fees are not refunded.

Family Membership Refunds

Partial refunds will be available only if:

  1. Refund request is made within 3 weeks after the last date to register.
  2. No children of the family have participated in any sport during that calendar year.

Steps to Request a Refund

All refund requests should be submitted directly to the MVAA within the refund policy time frame*. Refund requests may be submitted by email or by letter.

Please follow the steps below to ensure a timely process:

  1. Families need to contact the MVAA Administrative Assistant within the time frame indicated above.
  2. Sport fees are never carried sport to sport.
  3. Use the following format to request a refund: Contact the MVAA sending through the mail postmarked prior to the last eligible refund date or emailing mvaaoffice@mvaasports.com
  4. Required information needed:
    1. Subject line should read: Refund “Doe Family” (Example)
    2. The body of the email needs to state the following items:
      1. Parent names (checks cannot be written to the child)
      2. Age group/amount
      3. Sport
      4. Address
      5. Reason requesting refund (i.e. moving)
